Champlain Code Quest is Champlain College's semi-annual hackathon — a one-day creative sprint where students from all levels come together to build innovative tech projects. Whether you’re into web apps, AI, or hardware, this is your chance to turn ideas into reality, meet like-minded peers, and learn from industry mentors.
No experience? No problem. We’ll have workshops, mentors, and plenty of free snacks to keep your ideas flowing. Work solo or in teams of up to four — by the end of the day, you’ll have something real to show off, new friends, and maybe even a trophy.

What to Build
Your challenge is to design and build a project that improves student life.
Think about the everyday realities students face — managing coursework, staying organized, balancing social life, budgeting, commuting, maintaining health, or finding opportunities on campus. What tool, system, or innovation could make student life easier, smarter, or more connected?
Your project can fall into any domain — productivity, AI, communication, health, finance, entertainment, or social impact — as long as it meaningfully enhances the student experience.
You are encouraged (but not required) to integrate external APIs to extend your project’s capabilities and connect it to real-world data.
Whether your solution is simple and focused or technically ambitious, the goal is the same: build something that genuinely makes student life better.
